I’ve read on your site that it is safe to take the pcos supplements while trying to conceive and then to stop them after becoming pregnant. I’m wondering how soon after becoming pregnant should you discontinue, because I’m pretty positive I ovulated and now I’m just waiting the two weeks to see if I get a period or need to take a pregnancy test. Should I stop taking them after I ovulate and then wait until I get my period and then take them again until I ovulate again? Or should I continue to take them normally until I actually get a positive pregnancy test? I’m also not sure how long my luteal phase is, so I may have to wait three weeks after ovulation to take a pregnancy test. I’m not sure how to handle the supplements while trying to get pregnant.

    Thanks! :)

Hello and thanks for posting. I am glad that you are using the System.

I would recommend that you wait until you have a positive pregnancy test before stopping the System. If you get a positive test, then we recommend that you stop taking all the supplements but continue with the diet and exercise aspects.

The reason is that while we know that the Insulite PCOS System is safe and non-toxic in general, these supplements have not been tested in any clinical trials specifically on pregnant women or infants.

Please keep me posted on how you are doing.
