Within the past year, I was diagnosed with Fatty Liver Disease. I also have high cholesterol, high HDL/triglycerides & low LDL. I have done some research on the internet into Fatty Liver and from what I have read, PCOS is a big contributing factor in fatty liver and cholesterol problems. I guess this is another example on the damage that PCOS causes on the body.

Is there anyone else out there that is also dealing with Fatty Liver?

Will the Insulite help in reversing this? I know that the supplements work on liver function, just wondering if it can help me with this?

    Hello,

NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) can be directly caused by PCOS and is due to problems with fat metabolism/accumulation in the hepatocyte (a type of cell in the liver). This can cause increased liver enzymes and left untreated has the potential to progress to fibrosis. However, I have some very good news; NAFLD can be totally reversible with diet and weight loss. You can read more about NAFLD at the following link: http://www.pcos.insulitelabs.com/PCOS-and-Liver-Disease.php

While we cannot guarantee that the Insulite PCOS System will reverse this condition, we do know that NAFLD can be reversed with diet and weight loss, both of which is addressed by the Insulite PCOS System.

You also mentioned high cholesterol but with low LDL and high HDL. If so, this would actually be protective to your heart. Check to be sure that you are not mistaken on which type of cholesterol is elevated. You should see these and triglycerides (TG) lowered with the nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Ideally, you would like TG levels below 150, LDL below 100 and HDL above 50.

    I hope that this helps.
