What will insurance cover? It depends.

Answering what insurance will cover might be the only thing more complicated than navigating PCOS. The answer is “it depends.”

GLP-1s

We know most insurance doesn’t pay for GLP-1s in regard to PCOS, or there's seemingly endless hoops and hurdles. Even if approved through insurance channels is your medication dialed into meeting your needs - or the big pharma business model. That's why our solution provides customization, affordability and continual access. Learn about treatment.

Nutrition

Coverage for registered dietitians is common for metabolic conditions but copays and deductibles and insurance types add confusion. Our nutrition partner is a great resource for helping you figure out the answer. Explore nutrition.

Food

While more health plans are covering Food Is Medicine programs, it’s still not offered for conditions like PCOS. We know firsthand how important specific food choices are to addressing the root cause of PCOS and have made it a priority to source and offer medically-tailored, nutrient-dense and whenever possible regenerative and/or organic, locally grown and produced PCOS-friendly options. Soon we plan to offer a direct connection with local farmers.

Lifestyle

Most people don’t know that Lifestyle Medicine isn’t just a phrase, it’s an actual board certification for doctors, NPs, dietitians and more. It supports six pillars of health. It’s about root cause and health, not just treating sickness. The same pillars linked to PCOS: nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, social connection and the avoidance of risky substances. We’re working to offer a comprehensive Lifestyle Medicine educational and treatment program. Many times this intervention is covered by insurance. Learn about lifestyle.

Physicians

Primary care physicians who are experts in PCOS are the part of treatment most often covered by insurance. Yet finding them, getting an appointment and taking the time to go to the office is hard. We’ve partnered with one of the only virtual primary care solutions, so you get consistency, not to a rotation of different doctors every time you schedule an appointment. We’ve identified the primary care physicians in their network that specialize in PCOS to remove the friction of finding someone you can work with on your entire journey. Find providers.
